Blue Gum Flat Toastmasters held its humorous speech and Table Topics Contest tonight and the contestants in the Speech contest are pictued below receiving their participation certificates...
A big thank you to all contestants,
you are all winners in our eyes.
It is always a win when you "Have A Go", its also all great experience for further on in your Toastmasters career when you will no doubt all be taking home one of those lovely winning trophy....
A special mention goes to Aaron and Jerome who both competed for the 1st time.
Both gave really good speeches that were enjoyed by all and the voting was VERY close.
In the end there has to be a winner who will go on and represent our little club on the next level and experience won out and the winner of both the Humorous Speech and the Table topics was TONY, there was no runner up in the speech contest as there were so few contestants.
Ann came in in 2nd place in the Table Topics.
Well done everyone, thank you for "Having A Go" and making our contest into a contest, as I said the voting was very close , so the two younger members Aaron and Jerome are to be congratulated on their 1st time effort.
Congratulations of course go to Tony and Ann who will carry the banner at the next level of competition.
Tony will represent Blue Gum Flat at the district Contest which Blue Gum Flat will host on Saturday the 3rd September.

This next stage will be hosted by Blue Gum Flat Toastmasters and held at Ourimbah RSL and we hope you will support him as he represents our club in the next level.
Please come along and cheer him on as well as listen to some good speeches from the other club contestants.
We are also in need of Raffle prizes so that we can have a good raffle and make some money to cover our costs.
If you have any unwantd gifts tucked away in your cupboard would make good raffle prizes, they will be gladly accepted .
If you are able to donate something can you please wrap it in clear cellophane so the winners of the raffle can see what they are choosing as their prize....
Special congratulations must go to Glennis who hosted the Humorous Speech/Table Topics competition tonight, well done Glennis.
Also a special mention of how nice it was to see Alan again, he has been missing in action for quite a while.
