Regular meeting 20th June 2016

OUR NEW COMMITTEE .........sworn in tonight (more info at end of page)

Tonight we had  11 members in attendance and 2 guests. 
One of our guests who is a regular and has been for many years now is Ann's mother Pat, Pat has been a great supporter of our club over the  years, lending us her home for social events and being at many of our social dinners and our regular meetings. 
Tonight Blue Gum gave Pat the honour of making her an  "Honourary" Member of Blue Gum Flat Toastmasters. 
Pat thanked everyone for the honour . 
We are thrilled to have you Pat and you are very welcome to be a member of our club.  
Another  guest tonight was a past member David McCarthy . 
It was a real blast from the past to see David sitting  at the table tonight. 
David was a member  of Blue Gum Flat Toastmasters and was a very promising speaker , however some time ago he and his wife had their 2nd child and David being a  very hands on dad and great support to his wife found he was unable to keep up his membership/ attendance. 
It was great to see him back in our ranks tonight and David re-joined the club, voted in unanimously by the members. 
We all hope you will enjoy being back with us Dave and that you will soon be back speaking  again with confidence. 
                               Welcome back Dave....!!!! 
You will have a lot in common with our past President , Stuart, also a very hands on supportive new dad, maybe you can pass on some helpful tips David....

Tonight  Scott performed the duty of Chairman , 
Edith was our Toastmaster, 
Ann took over the role of looking after our "changeover" along with conducting a Mini Debate.... 
Well done to all of you.
