Tonight's theme was "Regrets, I've had a few". I think everyone in the meeting tonight could relate to this theme, thanks Tanya!
Anne was our Chairman tonight and kept us all in order. We had a number of visitors, whom we hope had a great night! Thanks for participating in our meeting tonight and having a go at the Table Topics, Round Robin and Group Evaluations.
We had 3 speeches tonight. Tanya shared with us her humorous speech entry about her adventures in boats - and the unanimous vote is that Tanya should from hereon avoid nautical pursuits! Tony educated us on the role of a mentor in everyday life. And Glennis enthralled us all with the topic of anxiety and overcoming fears. Thanks for great speeches everyone!
Tonight we had two facilitated evaluations, where the entire group was able to offer some feedback on Tony's and Tanya's speeches. This format worked well, and congratulations to Tim for an awesome job as Toastmaster and facilitator!
Pat also regaled us with a poem about "What's in the bottle". Pat sets a standard for us all to aspire to with her library of memorised verse. Thanks Pat.
