Regular meeting 21st August 2017

Tonight our meeting was held in the front room of the club and we were all a bit dysfunctional for a while until we adjusted to our strange surroundings. 
A couple of our members were seen wandering arround the club trying to find us but all ended well with everyone finding the right meeting room.   
We had  nine  members in attendance along with   four  guests so it was a happy and well attended meeting tonight. 
Jeremy is about to join us, 
James was visiting for the 2nd time and we hope will soon join us. Pat is our honorary member more than a guest. 
We also had 2 lovely ladies vist us tonight ,
Kim and Geraldine were checking us out. 
They both commented on what a lovely friendly group 
Blue Gum Flat  members are and the only thing stopping them from joining  our club would be committing to twice a month meetings. 
It seems everyone is time poor as the newest saying goes.

Our Chairman tonight was Anne ,    
John gave us the word  "ENTHUSE" or ENTHUSIASTIC .
 Tony gave us some good laughs in our new segment  called 
                                "Laugh Master"...
Thanks Tony we enjoyed the jokes , one in particular about a man who suspected that his wife was going deaf is one I will take to my Probus Club group. 
 I loved it and everyone had a good laugh at the jokes Tony told us.... 
Laughter being good medicine, 
we all had a little dose of medicine tonight .

That is a good segment and I think enjoyed by all and bought a little lightness into the meeting. 
Hope that continues Glennis . !

Our Toast tonight was delivered by our very new member  Rosenberg. We  have recently welcomed him to our club and now we are very sad to be losing him as he is moving to Qld and his next meeting with us will be his last with us. 

We are happy for you Rosenberg but so sorry to be losing you.
His toast was to "Courage and Change" and he has shown he is up for both of them and credits his Toastmasters experience with him getting his new job.. 
                               Good luck Rosenberg....

The theme tonight was "Interesting Facts"  and we learned a lot of interesting things tonight.
Even our  Table Topics continued along the Interesting facts theme.

Everyone took part in the round Robin  including our guests and all came up with an interesting fact. 

 Tonight we had three  really good speeches delivered ................
Aaron told us about the incredible  Mimic  Octopus  the facts about this Octopus were amazing.  Thanks Aaron. !

Tanya told us about some of her adventures that she was glad weren't video taped . We rather wish they had been Tanya , they were pretty comical....

 Rick told us a very SPOOKY story that had us all mesmerised and  hanging on his every word .

These speeches  were followed by three  great and  uplifting  evaluations. 
A presentation was made to Rosenberg of his long awaited membership and another was made to Aaron  as he achieved another award from Toastmasters International.
Ann received yet another C.C. award....
