Our Regular meeting Monday 7th August 2017

On Monday 7th August our regular bi monthly meeting was held. We had 8 members (our Honorary Member Pat made 9) and we had 2 visitors Jeremy back again for his 3rd visit and James visiting for the first time.  
The meeting was chaired tonight by Judi  The word "INDUPIDABLY" was given by Karen. 
Table topics was conducted by John S in the absense of Rick, thank you John for stepping in at the last minute , John's Listening Post was also well done. 
 John had to wear  3 hats tonight (S of A, Table topics master, and listening post) . Well done John.

  We heard from  2 of our most experienced speakers, Tony and Anne,  and so were treated to 2  excellent speeches. Evaluations were given by Judi and Glennis.
Blue Gum Flat Toastmasters had just had its 27th Birthday (1/8/90)  so the theme tonight  for our Round Robin was  "birthdays" or
 On 1st August 1990 I was ................
Both these topics were spoken about ,  we learned that Aaron was only 3 yrs old on the 1st August 1990 . 
All in all some interesting stories came from these topics. 

Our 2 guest Jeremy and James both took part in the Round Robin and in Table Topics. 
The winners and Grinners tonight were ..
 Best Speech : Tony
 Best evaluation : Glennis.
 Best Table Topics :  A draw between Tanya and Anne
Chairmans award : Tony (for such an excellent Ice Breaker speech).
We hope to see both  Jeremy and James back again at a future meeting they both seemed to enjoy our little group.

HAPPY 27th Birthday Blue Gum Flat Toastmasters Club

 On Monday 31st July Blue gum had a social dinner and a celebration of our 27th birthday. 
It was great to see Scott back with us for a meal and a catch up. John even produced his ice breaker speech of 25 yrs ago.

News Flash....
FIVE of our members attended the recent Officer Training session
at Ourimba RSL on Sat 4th August. Well done Bluegum Flat officers....
Next regular meeting will be held at same time 7-15pm, same place Ourimbah RSL
on August 21st.
