what a great birthday for those born today.
However I digress, this was our contest night and we had three contestants in both catergory's
Tony, Glennis and Rick.
All gave great speeches and all gave a great answer to the Table Topics question.
The winner of the Speech category was Rick with a really funny speech about his "FIRST LOVE" , a little car that had a lot of problems and caused Rick a lot of problems !.
Well done Rick, very funny and wishing you luck as you now progress on to Area level.
Tony was our 2nd place getter and Glennis our 3rd place getter.
Things reversed in the Table Topics contest with 1st place going to Tony,
2nd to Glennis
3rd to Rick.
Thank you to all who took part in this contest from counters and timers through to our Toastmaster Anne , our judges and of course the speakers themselves.
Well done everyone.
We also had two visitors tonight Marilyn and
Jeremy ( 2nd visit for him) , we hope they both enjoyed the contest and will come back and visit us again on a normal meeting night .
We also had some welcome guests, Greg, Carol, Ron, Stephen, they joined us tonight from sister clubs, Hope they all enjoyed the Blue Gum welcome and the hospitality offered.
