Toastmasters meeting on 30th Feb 2017

Although we usually have a social meeting over dinner on the  5th Monday of any month it was decided that this one would be a regular meeting because we had missed some meetings over the Christmas / New Year break. 
So please remember that our next meeting is NOT a fortnight away BUT ONLY A WEEK , next meeting is 6th February, please make a note of that.... 
It is also Our International Speech and Evaluation competition that night and Glennis is still looking for contestants, so please let her know if you are interested in competing or helping out  in that.

Tonight we had 9 members present and we  welcomed New member Mark to Blue Gum Flat Toastmasters,  he was made welcome,  recieved his certificate of membership along with the Toastmasters Pledge which he read out and agreed to uphold....  
We dont mess around in this club though  and so we put Mark to work immediately , he was our timer for the night ably assisted by Tanya. He did a great  job of it too
The meeting was chaired tonight be Anne who did a fine job .

Special awards  were given tonight to Glennis  and Tanya, Glennis  received her Competent Comminicator SILVER award and and Tanya received yet another Advanced Leader award. 
Glennis was also given the chairmans award tonight for being such a fantastic member and doing so much for our club as its VPE.
                          Well done everyone....

Some news was announced tonight ,
TONY annouced that he will soon be retired , in fact next Wednesday at 5pm. 
Is he counting the hours......?

We hope you have a wonderful retirement, it is  no doubt well   earned and time to enjoy life without the daily grindstone....

 Maybe Tony realised the Clock  WAS TICKING !!!!
 and he needed to enjoy some retirement....

NOT TO BE OUTDONE,  Glennis then announced that she too would be retiring at the end of the week.
Well done Glennis, we hope you will enjoy some "ME TIME"  now and enjoy not  being  surrounded by children all day.

WELL DONE to you both .
We know you have both enjoyed your work but it will be nice to just relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour now.
YOU CAN now throw the alarm clock out the window , enjoy leasurely breakfasts,  perhaps enjoy a 2nd cuppa, read the paper, Go where you want , when you want and  pretty much do what ever you want with no one  to answer to....... 

RETIREMENT .... !!!!
Ahhh Yes, I  can highly recommend it....
