HOW WRONG WE WERE.
We had a good roll up with 16 in attendance.
We had a visitor, who can almost be called an Honorary Member (Ann's lovely mum Pat) and also with the Stimpsons was the lovely Louise who had a good time as well.
We had a good roll up of members
and were they in for a treat.......!
Several of our very new members filled positions tonight and all performed their respective duties AMAZINGLY well.
As "older members I can assure you that we were blown away by these newer members.
AARON...
was our Toastmaster tonight and what a job he did, he was just great in the roll and shocked us all with the way he filled this position.
DANIEL...
Did his ice breaker speech tonight and performed like he had been at Toastmasters for years, his speech was great and his body language and gestures were amazing , in fact the whole delivery of it was amazing.
He was relaxed and confident, no nerves showed and he gave us a great ice breaker speech.
GREG did the Listening Post (first time) and also did a great job of this role.
SAM : was timer for the 1st time, he did a great job of it too, confident and unruffled are words that come to mind....
STEPHEN did some evaluating and also gave us (only his second speech) , and WOW, he was great. Confident and in charge, he gave a great evaluations and fantastic speech, he hardly needed notes and moved away from the lecturn with real confidence . WOW !
It was a real treat to see these members doing so well so early in their journey with Toastmasters.
It just makes your heart sing to see them blossom like this.
Everyone agreed that these newest members of our club are proving to be very good Toastmasters in the making.
WELL DONE GUYS.... you were amazing.
It was a pleasure to watch you in action....
