Dinner meeting 30th September PLUS combined meeting with Erina Toastmasters Club

Tonight we all got together and had a joint..!
                                NO WE DIDN'T........!

WE Actually had a joint /combined meeting with one of our
sister / brother  (gotta be PC) clubs Erina Toastmasters.

Some of the members from each club joined in having a meal together in the Ourimbah RSL bistro before the meeting and then moved on into the meeting room  where they were joined by those members  who hadn't participated in a meal for what turned out to be a very successful meeting .

This is the 1st time we have combined like this but as the night was very enjoyable it will hopefully happen again down the track..
There were 20 of us in all .
There were 12 Blue Gum Flat members plus a shy little  visitor (Kylie's Niece) who came along with Kylie to help with her presentation/speech.
Erina had 7 members in attendance , two of which hold  duel membership with Blue Gum.
There were 4 EXCELLENT (winning ) speeches tonight .....
Jan (Erina), Glennis (Blue Gum), Ally (Erina), Kylie (Blue Gum)
The speeches were all what I can only describe as  WINNING speeches.
Jan told us about her experience making cakes to sell for  an  RSPCA fundraising, this was a very humorous speech and a real winner.
(We could all relate to this Jan)
Ally told us about her experiences going to pop concerts and this again was a winning speech.
(She even sang to us )
Kylie told us about her  school with a  Magicical Learning Technique, another winning speech.
Glennis told us a heart warming personal story that concerned a family member, Glennis bared her soul and her speech was just brilliant.
(you could have heard a pin drop)...
Wow another winning speech and this one was the actual WINNER...Well done Glennis, just brilliant. !

Evaluations were carried out  by Alan, Elaine, Tanya, and Gail.
All Evaluations were great but one was "Special".
I think we all agreed that as Elaine said,  to evaluate Glennis's speech WAS a priveledge and this is the evaluation that won tonight.
Well done Elaine, great evaluation of a great speech....

The Mini Debate was fun, with
Darrin telling us how he would rather dance than swim,
(can just see his Wacko Jacko moves)
Mark telling us women should control the credid card....
(I dont think his heart was in that)
Jan telling us our flag should have a  red background and Tanya saying it should be green and gold.
(I don't think anyone agreed with either of them)
All kinds of things were debated and all members who took part in this mini debate did really well ....
