REGULAR MEETING 18/9/17

Tonight we were a little down in numbers with  a few members away or not well but we had our 2 newest members James and Jeremy to make up the numbers.

 We also had Rick with us tonight so all in all we had a good meeting. 

Glennis was our Chairman tonight, Tony presented us with the "Word".

 Our Theme tonight was "Making A Difference " and Tony kept up with the theme with his word of the night being "TRANSFORM".

We were very pleased to Welcome Jeremy into our Blue Gum Flat Toastmasters Club tonight. 

Jeremy looks like being an excellent Toastmaster.

 Welcome Jeremy, we  hope your stay with us is happy and productive... 

 Our 2nd newest Member James was our timer tonight. 

(Yes we put them to work pretty quick at Blue Gum ). 

It was his 1st try at being timer and he did a really good job. He seemed to really  enjoy ringing that bell. !

Rick was given several jobs tonight, He came through the door a free man and because our numbers were down a bit he was soon given some work. He ended up wearing 3 different hats, he presented 

Our Toast,  Our Table Topics, and also did an evaluation.  

Well done Rick !

Tonight we had an educational on Judging. 

We were all given judging forms and it was explained  to us  by Tanya just HOW to judge if we are ever called on to do so.....

 This all made sense and we actually judged our two speakers Tony and Aaron who both gave us excellent speaches tonight.

 Our judging forms were then collected and I think we all now know how official Judging works.

Rick and Tony both represented us at the recent Area contest, they did us proud , Thank you Gentlemen for carrying our Blue Gum Flat Club into the Area Contest.

We had a Blue Gum Executive meeting on Tuesday 5th September and several ideas came out of that meeting,

Our next meeting will be MONDAY 2nd October which is the long weekend .
We do hope to see as many of our members at this meeting as is possible even though the actual Monday is a holiday.

 It will be business as usual at our Blue Gum Flat Toastmasters club, you will hear some good speeches and enjoy some great company so please try to be there....

 By The Way, if you are an EX member of our club we would love to have you back if ever you choose to return to us.
A big welcome always awaits you....

We are so fortunate to have such a great venue with good parking and good meeting room.
You dont have to drink our water, the bar is available to anyone choosing to have a stronger drink than water or tea and coffee.
