Blue Gum Flat SPEECH CRAFT

On May 8th Blue Gum Flat Toastmasters started  one of our Speech Craft  classes,  there are  5 doing this crash course in Public speaking this year
Jess, Rhonda, Karen, Kim and Rosemberg .
On  the 8th we met them all, gave them some educational talks,
Judi = (How to  Evaluate)   John = (Timer Explanation)
Anne = An explaination of meeting roles and Toast explanation
Aaron = ( Impromptu speaking,Speaking off the cuff) , Tony, =  did an outline of the course and also a powerpoint educational on selecting a topic  and Speech organisation...
We all took part in showing them the ropes  so to speak. !

We  also gave them the agenda for  Monday 15th when they would start doing speeches and all of the various positions in the meeting.
They were then free to ask any questions they might have about the various roles they were to fill. On Monday 15th May they  REALLY wowed us with their Ice Breaker speeches.
They are going to be really good speakers , there is no doubt, They just need confidence and a bit of polish and they will become really good public speakers.
By the way , Jess told us that she was going to become a mum in the Spring ,  lovely and exciting news , congratulations Jess....
She also told us about a time when she and husband ( both police officers) were arrested in France.  Tut Tut....
Feel sure there will be some good stories coming from Jess.

Karen was our Chairman for the night and did a great job, Rosemberg and Rhonda did a great job of Toastmastering the two  Speech sessions of the meeting.

Ice Breaker Speeches were made tonight by Rhonda , Jess, Rosemberg and Karen.
Kim has still to do his as he was unable to be with us tonight, he will get to do his Ice Breaker next week no doubt.

Evaluations  were given by Karen, Rhonda, Jess and Rosemberg and they are did really well.
Rosemberg and Jess did a Soapbox  = (book or film review).

Ann did an Educational (Your Body Speaks and Vocal Variety) and I feel sure the speech crafters learned a lot tonight.

We thank the Toastmasters who  gave up their time and came along and participated in the ongoing training of these Speechcrafters by being there to help out and being such great mentors to this very talented group .
This is a 4 week course and as such requires that we be there to help out for 4 Mondays in a row.
Its a big ask of our members, and we thank those who were able to be there the past 2 meetings.

Photo's  below of our SPEECH CRAFTERS.
