                                TONIGHTS MEETING
Tonight we had 13 members turn up for our meeting which was very encouraging as attendances had previously been very poor.
Last meeting  30th June (a Dinner Meeting) was very poorly attended I am told.
I'm told only 8 members attended which is a very poor showing....
I was away fighting crocodiles during a week in  Darwin, and John was away seeing the sights of London with his daughter .
So two of us regular attendees  had good excuses for not being there for the dinner meeting , how about you.??
We are a friendly club and always very welcoming but sometimes our members just can't seem to leave the comfort of their lounge chairs to attend a meeting.
(Some of course are simply  unable to attend for various reasons.)
                       Speaking of comfortable chairs.......!
The Ourimbah RSL has been completely refurbished with new everything.... new carpet, new chairs, a sparkling new Brasserie with a complete new and exciting  menu.
It is Called....
wait for it...
.
.
"THE BLUE GUM FLAT BRASSERIE"......
Gone is the all you can eat Buffet, and in its place is a brand new Brasserie and brand new exciting menu.
I am sure the club would like you to give it a try after spending many many many dollars on this refurbishment....
It is looking really lovely so why not come along and see for yourself....
The chairs in the meeting room where we hold our meetings,  have all  been replaced by lovely new chairs and all in all our meeting room is very comfortable.
There is always a nice hot cuppa and bikies on offer so hope to see you at our next meeting.......

It was lovely to have Christine back with us after a well earned break from Toastmasters.
Christine is a very accomplished Toastmaster and very valued by our members .
Welcome back Christine, we all wish you well and hope the little break has sorted a lot of your problems out with you being able to give them your undevided attention. Welcome back and thank you for walking straight back into a position on committee.
Your a True Blue Chris.......
Welcome Back CHRISTINE, wev'e really missed you.....

Our next meeting  on 21st July is our Humorous Speech and Table Topics contest so if you are not competing please try to support those who are by coming along to cheer them on.
            ***********************************
At tonights meeting we presented new member Stuart with his official Blue Gum Flat membership certificate.

Welcome to Stuart....

We hope you will enjoy your membership with us Stuart.
Stuart will be away for the next few meetings as he will be on a big exciting trip to the USA, Hope your trip is safe and happy Stuart....

                             ******************************

It was nice to see new, 2nd time Daddy , Dave back with us again tonight, I don't think Dave and his wife are getting much sleep with the new kid on the block being a big hungry young man who wants his  food often, (like 2 hourly).
 Hang in there.....
It does get better as they get older and sleep for longer periods....
New 2nd time Dad.

I too can have a brag , we  have a brand new 2nd "GREAT" grandson, born 27th June  while we were away in Darwin a big boy weighng in at 9lb 9oz.......son number 2 for our eldest grandaughter.... .
(Always knew there was some good and positive things about growing older)....
One of them is....
WE are NOT losing any sleep, his parents are!....
                                 Been there, done that !
