Regular meeting 21st October 2013

Our regular meeting was sadly  NOT well attended , with only 11 members showing up.
Please come back soon if you have been absent, we are missing you....
You missed hearing a couple of really good speeches too....
Greg made his ice breaker speech and it was excellent, so good that his speech won best speech award.
Greg is going to be an excellent Toastmaster, his voice and his confidence are both A1....We have some really talented new members....
John also made a speech that was very interesting and enlightening, thanks John, well done.
Only two speakers tonight but both really good speeches....

Tonight we had another interesting and fun "continuing story".
Ray was Chairman and started the ball rolling by telling us about an elephant called Effie.
                                            *********
Alan made a special presentation to Caroline (who represented the Ourimbah RSL ). A lovely framed  certificate of appreciation was presented to the club.
It is almost 12 months since we started having our meeting there in a room that is given to us at no charge, it was a nice way of saying "thank you", and was very appreciated by staff member Caroline who made a nice little "thank you" speech TO US  herself....

A little bird told me they have to move out while repairs are carried out.......
Thinking of you Tom  and Lisa and hope everything will be back in order soon .
