OUR CHANGE OVER MEETING 17th June 2013

Well done Tanya, your year as president went really well and the committee and members congratulate you on a job well done.... We always knew  that our club was in good hands with you at the helm and that you would represent us well.
We CONGRATULATE you and wish you well in your future position as Area Gov.

We congratulate Alan on being elected as our President for the coming year and wish him well in this position....

Our change over meeting was well attended ,  we had a good roll up of members along with two special guest from Ettalong T/M  (Gail and Jan.) Gail conducted the swearing in of our new committee, thank you Gail for being with us and conducting the change over.... . Sorry I have no photo of you......
Jan won best evaluation and also Best Table Topics....Gail sold us lots of tickets and we hope one of our club wins a prize....

During the evening, our  speakers were Alan and Judi, both enjoyable to listen to but there has to be a winner and it was Judi who gave an emotional speech about an old couple she once knew

It was a special night for our club  because two of our very long time members Ann and John received their 20 year membership  certificates and we celebrated  with a beautiful cake that had been made by our member, Glennis...(Well done Glennis the cake looked and tasted superb).

Well done Ann and John  a 20 year membership is something to be very proud of and you both get 'HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS" from all the members of Blue Gum and  I am sure clubs from surrounding areas...

We have recently been joined by three new members, ( father and son team ,Sam  and Stephen) and Aaron, all have carried out some short speaking tasks already (The word and Toast etc ) , we now look forward to hearing their "Icebreaker" speeches....... 

At our next meeting  Sam and Spephen will speak, then on 5th August we will hear from Aaron.... 

We also had another new member join our club tonight....Daniel, who has visited several times with Kylie has decided he will also join us, so a big welcome goes out to Daniel.

We are so looking forward to seeing these four gentlemen bloom, grow  and gain confidence as only being a member of Toastmasters can  teach them.... 

Welcome to our club gentlemen, we look forward to  hearing from you all in the coming months....

Certificates and gifts of appreciation were also  handed out by Tanya to several members for their work on committee during the past year....

To Christine, "Thank you for years of service on committee in MANY positions,  well done"

                We all wish Christine well as she takes a break and a breather now and we  hope that  family situations all work out and become less stressful for her and that she will return to our ranks soon. Christine has done a wonderful job balancing work, family and  her work on committee with Toastmasters, it is time now to take a well earned rest from a few things.......We wish you  well earned R and R....
