OUR 1st August Meeting and (Horses Birthday)

The meeting was really well attended, must have been the little touch of spring weather that woke them from winter hibernation....
 Tanya started the horsey theme with the word for the day being "HORSE",
Troy kept the theme of  Horses birthday going with a toast to the Horses on their birthday.
In a very clever and  inovative move Troy passed around carrot sticks and asked us NOT to raise our glasses BUT to "raise our carrot sticks"...
Well done Troy it is good to have something different.
John S. kept the horsey theme going with his horsey table topics.
Mark took out the best speech and also the chairmans award for the evening,
Darren and Judi jointly won table topics.
Jane received her ATM Gold certificate
It was good to welcome Ray S. back from his big holiday in Canada, we missed you Ray....

On a sad note we found that Carol ( Our Area Gov. and our past President) has had a shock diagnosis and will undergo surgery soon. Our thought and prayers will be with you Carol.
Carol is handing the Area Gov. job back to Jan who will willingly stand in for Carol.
