T'was the night before THE CUP regular meeting 2nd Nov 2015

                           

 Our Toastmasters meeting T'was the night before The CUP and we decided to dress in theme of going to the Melbourne Cup.
(We missed those of you who weren't there by the way, and  you missed out on  a good night)....
 As you can see we could easily have  actually gone to the Cup , what a fine looking group we were....
We did  think John might pull a rabbit out of that hat but NO! nothing happened. !!!! No Rabbits....
Congratulations to all who made the night a bit of fun and  dressed for the Cup.  to all who did dress up, you  looked great....

Tony  was in the chair tonight and did a fine job.
Ray delivered our Toast,  Judi gave us the word,
 (A fun one that we can all use to shock our work mates/ family etc.
 The word was FERHOODLE.
It is of German origin and  means to confuse, tangle, perplex bungle, botch.
(ie) After looking  at the field  for the Melbourne  Cup we were completely FURHOODLED.
A good word to try out in company we thought. they won't know what the hell your talking about.

There were a couple of awards given out Sam and Christine received awards, Sam was given an appreciation award and Christine her 2nd Competent Leader . We had   3 speakers tonight , Sam. Tony and Glennis
