Our Humorous Speech / Table Topics Contest was held tonight .
Stuart chaired the meeting tonight and we had four contestats in each category.
Jane was our Toastmaster tonight and did a great job introducing the speakers.
Tony was Toastmaster for the Table Topics section and also did a great job.
We had 14 members and three guests tonight Kathy, Kevin and Pat (Ann's Mum )were our Guests tonight.
It was good to see our two newest members Edith and Dom both in attendance tonight also.
We hope you both learned something by watching how a Toastmasters contest is run...
We enjoyed listening to all the speeches and Table Topics
Ray Told us about his failed attempt at making a home brew,
Judi told us about how her family made her laugh,
Glennis told us about her failed attempt at being a human GPS,
Sam told us another good police story.
Well done everyone we enjoyed all of your stories.
We had 2 guest judges tonight and Tony was our chief judge.
Thank you to all who entered our contests, you don't have to win a trophy you are already winners simply by putting your hand up and entering these contests.
We couldn't have a competition without you (having a "GO") so Thank you all.
WELL DONE to those who entered tonight....!!!!

On A SAD NOTE Christine has had a death in her family (Mum in Law) , please keep Chris and her family in your thoughts. ********************************************************** Thought for the day. "We were born with two hands, one to help ourself and one to help others".... Next Meeting SOCIAL Monday 29th June . This will be a dinner meeting (and our Changeover) held in our meeting room. We hope to have everyones order in by 6-45 so we need you there earlier than normal. Our meals will be delivered to our room. There is a good varied menu available from Blue Gum Flat Bistro and the Monday night special is Chicken Schnizel cooked in various ways. It is only $10.00 for members and $12.00 for non members. It is always nice and good value for money. If you dont want the chicken there are other items on the menu.... We do need to try and order by 6-45pm though. ************************** Next regular meeting Monday 6th July 7-15pm. Hope to see you there. |
