Isn't it always the way when we have to use the small room everyone turns up....
We had 16 members 1 speechcrafter Edith and 3 visitors Pat, Chris and Carol in attendance tonight.
It was nice to see Chris back with us if only for a visit and it is always nice to see Pat .
Also had a visit from a lady named Carol who was interested and showed interest in joining us .
Tonight 5 speeches were on the agenda , however 2 of those who were on the agenda to speak didn't arrive which cut the speakers down to just 3.
However the 3 speakers were all excellent and each gave us something different to think about. All were giving only their 2nd ever speech. Edith told us about safely in the home for seniors, Dom explained how important it is to look after our skin and Gilles told us about how important it is to have perseverence .......
All speeches were well done.
Evaluations by Sam, Sephen and Ray were all well done also.
Our chairman tonight was Gilles who did a good job for his 1st time in the position.
A busy boy tonight was our newest member Dom who delivered our TOAST , TABLE TOPICS and his 2nd SPEECH. He did a great job of all of his assignments.
His TABLE TOPICS were exellent, he went to a lot of trouble to find good, sometimes serious, sometimes funny topics for us to talk on.
Due to us running a bit behind time his Table Topics had to be cut short, such a shame as he had some good topics that he didn't get to use. Next time DOM......!
He came up with a novel idea and the pic below was given to Ray, Ray was then asked (what was going on in it ?). Ray explained it well, great T/T Quesions Dom, very funny....Well done.
We did not have any voting tonight so we have no winners and grinners except for AARON who tonight recieved his Competent Communicator certificate...Well done Aaron....You have come a long way in a short time with Toastmasters.... and Edith who was given the chairmans award.. And as you can see Tanya was Winging it all night
Congratulations to Aaron Competent Communicator certificate. |
