Regular Meeting OURIMBAH RSL August 4th

Monday 4th our  regular meeting was attended by only 10 members. There were several apologies, but the rest of our members must be in hibernation I think.
Well those who were there enjoyed listening to three very good speeches, Christine filled us in on her recent (Gap Year).
Aaron told us all about the joys of gaming and Dave told us that we all have too many choices when we shop now...No augument there, we all agreed).
Aaron did a great job again as Sargeant at Arms , Aaron has slipped into his new role very well, no mucking about... he has us keeping to time well and truly.
Speaking of TIME, Our timer tonight( won't mention any names but it starts with an A and ends with an N), had a little malfunction, forgot to use the timing lights and had poor Christine speaking on and on waiting for a green light... We were so lucky that her story was really interesting and because she was ad libbing she managed to keep going while waiting for the timing lights to tell her her time was up.... Oh well these things happen, he was teased a bit but it was all taken on the chin by the timer, so no problem... Tonight the best Table Topics was won by Ray who also won the Best Evaluation. Dave won best speech tonight and it was well deserved , he was only making his 2nd Speech and it was really great.... Well done Dave, Congratulations.... Judi (Chairman) gave her chairmans  award to Glennis for a great job in her 1st role as VPE. 
                               Well done everyone....
