This years  Area contest  was hosted by Erina T/M and held at Ourimbah RSL and a very successful morning it was. Well done everyone....
Many of our members  are unable to get along to these contests as they are held on weekends a lot of us are busy doing other things on weekends.
That being the case it was just great to see two of our newer members in attendance and both doing a job.
Stephen was a Timer and Sam was one of the Counters and also one of the a Sargeant at Arms.
Well done guys it was great to see you taking part and hopefully we will see one or both of you as a contestant in the near future....
Representing Blue Gum Flat  we had Darrin and also one of our B/G/F members Mark was representing Erina in the speech contest  and in the Table topics we had Alan , while another  of our B/G/F members,  David competing for his other club in the Table Topics.
B/G/F member Darrin came in 2nd in the Speech.
Well done Darrin, another trophy to dust  eh?!!!!....
The competition was  pretty stiff with a great speech by  Robert  (This Is A Quiet Carriage) winning the competition,  Robert also won the Table Topics.
Robert is quite a force to be reckoned with ! A really good speaker....
David was 2nd in T/T but unfortunately not representing our club....
Well done to all competitors  and Congratulations to Darrin and David on your placings.
All in all it was a very successful morning with everyone enjoying the speeches and the table topics.... We now wish Darrin well as he goes on to compete  in the Eastern Division on Sept 22nd , good luck Darrin.... Congratulations must go to our  own Blue Gum Flat member and Area Gov. Tanya....... Tanya carried out her duties well and did our club proud in her position as Area Gov....
