Regular meeting 18th June

Tonight we had 8 members present and one visitor Katelin ( a friend of Tim's)  who joined our club on her 1st visit,
Welcome Katelin,
We hope you enjoy Toastmasters....

It was lovely to have Glennis back with us  after her trip away.
She seemed to be sorry to be home but we were glad to see her.

Tony is still away on his big trip and judging by the photos we see on his Facebook page he is having a great time.
We will be glad to have Tony back with us though, we miss him.

Ann and Pat were not with us tonight , we hope they are not ill.
We missed you  both...

Jeremy did a fine job of Chairing the meeting tonight,
Tim was our Toastmaster for the 1st time ,
Chantel was our 1st time Timer .
They all did great in their various roles and are becoming confident speakers.....

We had speeches tonight from Glennis who told us about some of her  recent travels in Malacca  Malaysia .
James spoke about "Yarri" , an aboriginal  man who lived in Gundagai many years ago.
Both were really interesting speeches and were evaluated by  Glennis and Tanya.

Glennis did an interesting Table Topics,  filling in for Rick and also  did our Listening post, filling in for Sheryl.
                                     Speaking of Rick........
We hope your getting over your fall Rick and thank you for  your great effort in manning a stall at Gosford Racecourse markets to promote our club .

Rick manning  a stall at Niagara Park markets  recently...

For those who don't know .
A  few weeks ago Rick went to Gosford Racecourse  markets  to  try to promote our club a bit more and had a nasty fall .
Instead of manning a stall,  Rick  ended up in an ambulance and spent the day in Gosford hosptal , Rick looked like he had done  a few rounds in a title fight afterwards .
It seems that he tripped on some uneven ground and tried his best to dig a hole in the carpark with his head...
We hope you are recovered  now Rick and thank you for trying so hard to help our club.
We do appreciate your efforts Rick !
