Regular meeting 2nd September 2013

          YEAH.... "SPRING HAS SPRUNG"

               AND  it looks like some of  our members are starting to slowly come out of hibernation.

Ann is back from her magical trip to AFRICA and she came along bearing  beautiful photo's.......

Aaron came along tonight MINUS his apendix, having just spent a few days in Gosford hospital having the said APENDIX removed.... Aaron was a very sick young man with a very infected appendix just 2 weeks ago.......
Great to know you are OK Aaron and well enough to be back with us....and win Best T/T.
That is true dedication to our club, having just spent a week in hospital myself , I know it knocks you about a bit. Well done Aaron, hope you continue to stay well now....

It was great to see Leonie back in our midst, also good to see  Kylie and Daniel again.
Our newest member Greg was an apology tonight, (hope we didn't scare you away last meeting Greg, we look forward to seeing you again soon)....

 Two of the newer  kids on the block, Sam and Stephen both filled positions tonight, Sam was our Table Topics master and Stephen was our Toastmaster, both carried out their repective duties  really well . It is so rewarding to see newish members getting up and gaining such  confidence,  both of these members are shining brightly and gaining great confidence , well done guys.!

As spoken about in the previous blog post (please read posting below), the area contest was held on Sat 31st and our B/G/F member Darrin took out 2nd place and so will be going on to compete in Eastern Division Contest on 22nd Sept.. We all congratulate him on his 2nd place trophy and wish him luck in the next contest..........

We had 15 members in attendance tonight,
 PLUS  one lovely little visitor "Kate" who accompanied Stephen.
We were graced with a special  visit from a Our AREA GOVENOR Tanya, wearing her Gov. Hat , Tanya also made a fantastic speech, wearing her B/G/F/ hat.......

                            Best evaluation Judi.
       Chairmans award equally to John, Ray and Aaron, 
our chairman Leonie thought they all deserved the award tonight.

 PS: Our members are from various  parts of the Central Coast, including Wyongah, The Entrance, Tumbi , Jilliby, Wyoming, Niagara Park, Bateau Bay, Ettalong, so if you are having trouble  getting to our meetings or dont like to travel alone perhaps you could organise a car pool  with another member.
