We had a total of 17 in attendance , consisting of 14 members and 3 visitors .
(which was great to see after the dissapointing role up at the previous meeting).
When suddenly the double doors to the meeting room swung open and an INVADER strode menacingly into the room. (see picture below and tell me you wouldn't have been a bit shocked if THAT came marching toward you breathing heavily.)
My first thoughts were WHAT THE !!!!
We were all a bit shocked to say the least when this evil looking DARTH VADER strode into our midst, he was doing a lot of heavy breathing too
it was a scary moment for us all as most of us had not heard such heavy breathing for a long time if EVER. !!!
For a moment we were so taken aback that we wondered if someone should call security....
However we then noticed Darth was wearing Davids favourite SUPERMAN shirt and realised it was just DAVID in DRAG so to speak....
He was just getting into the ZONE for his speech
"YOU TOO CAN RULE YOUR OWN GALAXY".

Our speakers for the night were Rob, Tracey, and DARTH (David)
all great speeches and really enjoyed by us all.
Rob and Tracey's speeches were exceptional , David's speech was fantastic and very funny....
Well done everyone, it was a fun night thanks to a very spooky Table Topics and a very funny Darth Vader experience .
The speeches were all light, bright and enjoyable , no one even looked like nodding off ! congratulations to all speakers, well done........

It was really hard to vote on the speeches that were ALL so good, it must have been a real photo finish...
However there has to be a winner and best speech for the night ended up going to ROB,
well done Rob....you are making a habit of this....
Best Table Topics also went to Rob.....
Best Evaluation went to Pauline....
We hope our visitors from Ettalong, Jan and Gail enjoyed the night.
We also had a visitor Steven, who had a good laugh and really enjoyed the evening.
He told us he would be back and would happily join such a fun group....Good eh ?

CONGRATULATIONS to Ally who just turned 21 during the week.

Please pass on any ideas you might have as to where we should have our Christmas get together on our final meeting night of the year 17th DEC.
In an effort to support the club that is supporting us a lot of our members feel that we should have our Christmas night at the club.
At the moment the club buffet does not operate on a Monday night but the club management tell us that it probably will be open and running on a Monday night by Dec 17th, so IF it is we probably need to have our meal there.
It is $18.00 a head for dinner (for members) now, but I am told the food is very good and worth the price.
If the Buffet is not going to be open it has been suggested that we ask the club how much a head it would cost for us to have some hot and cold food platters in our meeting room where we are free to have drinks at bar prices etc to compliment the food.
We can then have our secret Santa as is the norm at our Christmas meeting....
Any other ideas please let Christine or Darren know by email or phone ( Tanya) is away....
There is an exec. meeting next Wed. 28th at the home of Judi and a suitable conclusion to our Christmas meeting options will hopefully be sorted out then....
