2nd July Regular Meeting and committee changeover....

 Tonight we had  our committee change over and regular meeting.
There were 17  in attendance including 3 visitors...Area Gov. Olwyn,
and two gentlemen... Garry and Tom.
We hope you all enjoyed the meeting along with the lovely supper  cake that was provided for us by incoming President Tanya....Thank you Tanya, it was really yummy and we all wish you well in your year as President of our club....We know our club is again in good hands....

We were short on speakers tonight (perhaps due to the cold weather or maybe  the dreaded lurgy that is around at the moment had claimed a few victims)..... several of our members were not able to attend .                                                Our visiting Area Gov. Olwyn, kindly offered to fill one of the gaps with one of her excelent speeches.  Thank you Olwyn....
(Not even the area Gov can visit our Club without having to do some work)....

Christine L. was our only club speaker and Christine delivered a very good speech, full of  flamboyance and humour as is her usual style....

 Christine was helped out in a role play by Judi who acted the part of  a very hurt and upset sister who's special birthday had been forgotten by her young sister  Christine L....

   We can only hope you two sisters  get out for lunch soon and bury the hatchet, 

                                                (but not in each others heads). 

                         Both speeches  tonight were enjoyed by all, thank you ladies....

The committee change over took place and the outgoing committee were thanked by the outgoing President Christine M. who presented her committee with a lovely certificate of thanks.                    Well done Christine,  the certificate was beautifully designed  and put together and is a nice keep sake for the outgoing committee members....

The new Committee were then welcomed in by incoming President Tanya (who as stated earlier) supplied a lovely supper  cake as a welcome to her new committee and a thank you to the past committee, a lovely touch Tanya, thank you !

  Best Evaluation was awarded to David, the best Table Topics went to Christine L. and the Chaimans award (given by Chair for the night Ally) was awarded to the whole outgoing committee for a job well done... Last but not least.The Best Speech was a dead heat between Area Gov.Olwyn and Christine L.
